Meet Marcia:
Imaginative, Passionate, Curious
Marcia Rowe is a Minneapolis-based graphic designer and illustrator informed by her cultural identity, social beliefs, and community to create unique and impactful work. She uses sociological theories to connect the dots others might not see. Sociological Imagination is the concept that personal experiences always connect to broader social issues. Applying this shift of perspective expands her ideas and bridges the gap between herself and the audience. She believes visual art is the most impactful vessel of communication and representation. Highlighting her experiences, as well as those around her, is a way to achieve liberation, connection, and an understanding of her identity.
Her creative process is imaginative, educational, and thorough. She loves ideation and approaching creative work with a grounded, yet out-of-the-box perspective.
