Imaginative Tactics is a 400+ hour research project exploring how design operates as a tool in contemporary social justice movements (e.g. BLM, Abolish the Police, MeToo, etc.). Largely inspired by my experience of marginalization in the design field, Imaginative Tactics demonstrates my commitment to justice through design.
The resulting products of Imaginative Tactics include a literary analysis that explores and applies the Sociological Imagination and Symbolic Interactionism theories to my findings, field research, photography documentation, four qualitative interviews with notable artists and organizers, a creative brand toolkit, and an exhibition.
