Annual MLK Convocation

Public Art Instillation, PR Marketing

Prompted to use the motif of storytelling to represent the Pan-Afrikan Student Union (P.A.S.U.) creatively, it was essential to engage my community and implement cultural elements that amplified the work of Dr. King and P.A.S.U. I collected different perspectives from performers, artists, and community members on how they interpreted what collectivity means. The project resulted in striking, consistent visual elements used in promotional materials and a 10’ x 14’ banner used to represent P.A.S.U., Augsburg, and the surrounding communities.

“We are caught in a network of mutuality, tied to a single garment of destiny.”
